About The Position

Execute basic Purchasing activities while supporting the Purchasing team’s daily objectives. This is an entry level Purchasing position offering an excellent opportunity for individual career development in the Materials Management or related field.

Requirements

Minimum HS diploma.
Experience in an office setting or similar environment.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Mathematical skills to support problem solving objectives
Attention to detail and the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously.
Planning abilities, both tactical and strategic

Nice To Haves

Bachelors’ Degree in related field
Experience is electronic system (computer skills).

Responsibilities

Basic cycle counts of raw material and finished goods.
Assist in the execution of physical inventory activities and variance review.
Execute purchase orders to support manufacturing, distribution demand and MRO.
Evaluate sales forecasted data to determine material requirements.
Provide daily communication regarding material arrivals and stock levels.
Tracking of overseas containers – status and arrival times.
Determine the landed, or calculated cost for received purchase orders.
Coordinate and communicate material requirement forecast data to the supply base.
Assist the Purchasing team and the Director of Purchasing in daily clerical activities.
Catalogue, or document spare parts for finished goods and finished goods characteristics for all products along with the creation of part numbers in the ERP system (catalogue project)
Update key product specifications files to ensure compliance standards (PFAS, RVIAA, PIM)
Ability to establish rapport with cross functional teams and peers.
Requires organizational and time management skillsets.
Display an assertive and positive attitude.
Strong desire to learn and improve purchasing efforts both domestic and internationally.
Willingness to learn and possess a level of drive towards personal career growth.
Participate in supplier negotiations and strategic planning to further career development.
