About The Position

The Gorilla Glue Company is seeking an Assistant Brand Manager to support the Gorilla brand, with a strong focus on North America innovation and brand strategy. Our company has a proven track record of growth and continues to expand both domestically and internationally. This role will be based in Cincinnati and will play a key role in shaping the brand’s future in the North American market. This position will lead and support critical areas across innovation, strategy, and execution. The role will help drive the North America innovation pipeline - identifying opportunities, developing concepts, and bringing new products to market - while also contributing to broader brand strategy and long-term growth planning. In addition, the Assistant Brand Manager will support core brand management responsibilities, including managing existing business across key retail channels (Home Center, Hardware, Mass, Food, Drug, etc.), executing brand growth initiatives, building awareness and equity through advertising, and developing compelling retail sell-in stories. This role offers a balance of forward-looking innovation work and day-to-day brand management, with meaningful exposure to cross-functional leadership and business impact. Requirements

  • BS Required: Major in Business, Marketing Preferred
  • 2-4 Years of Marketing Experience
  • Self-starter who is capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously in an organized manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working across a broad range of relationships including cross-functional and outside agency partners
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including abilities to envision, enroll, energize, and execute
  • Results oriented approach with willingness to bust through barriers and dive in at the detail level as needed
  • Excellent English writing, speaking and presentation skills required
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • POS (Nielsen, IRI, etc.) analysis experience is preferred
  • Experience with digital media, analytics tools, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc) preferred
  • Experience with Windows OS

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the North America innovation vision and go-to-market strategies aligned to overall brand and category growth objectives
  • Identify and recommend a robust short- and long-term innovation pipeline, grounded in consumer insights, market trends, and whitespace opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Packaging Development, Project Management, and other partners to develop impactful, consumer-relevant product innovations
  • Partner with Sales and R&D to translate innovation into compelling retail sell-in stories that drive customer engagement and growth
  • Understand the category landscape, key competitors, retail trends, and POS/internal analytics
  • Contribute to setting strategy for growth and manage day-to-day risks and opportunities
  • Identify upside opportunities and recommend plans to activate
  • Identify risks or areas of weakness in the business and proactively put in place plans to address
  • Collaborate with Sales partners to create retail growth stories and assist with customer line reviews
  • Integrate brand NPD (New Product Development) into regional plans to deliver wins for the company, retailers, and consumers
  • Contribute to developing media objectives and strategies that fit overall brand strategies
  • Assist in creative executions from brief to productions for defined pillars
  • Recommend and execute support behind brand digital, social, and influencer campaigns
  • Collaborate with internal and external agencies/partners to design, develop, and execute commercialization campaigns
