Within the Ascent Protein team located in Denver – we are seeking an Assistant Brand Manager (Internal Leprino Title: Marketing Planner) to move our organization to even larger levels of sports nutrition growth! At Ascent, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $66,000 and $77,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 5%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in a consumer-facing or CPG marketing role, such as a marketing coordinator, marketing specialist, assistant brand manager, or equivalent position with broad general marketing experience
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint or similar presentation software with the ability to design and build clear, visually appealing decks.
  • Basic familiarity with video creation tools (e.g., CapCut, Canva, or mobile editing apps).
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects efficiently and stay organized across moving parts.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year(s) managing social media channels for a B2B or B2C brand
  • Experience with influencer platforms such as Grin and exposure to paid social campaigns.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar creative tools for content editing.
  • Knowledge of social analytics platforms and how to translate performance into actionable insights.
  • A curious, improvement-minded approach to building connections and growing a brand that stands for quality and authenticity!

Responsibilities

  • Support Ascent’s mission to grow awareness and engagement by helping plan and execute brand campaigns that connect with athletes, families, and fitness communities!
  • Build annual brand and go-to-market plans in partnership with the Brand Manager—managing timelines, assets, and coordination with Sales, R&D, and Operations.
  • Support the design review process for graphics, packaging, and seasonal product updates.
  • Bring seasonal launches to life through messaging, creative assets, and public relations outreach that capture the spirit of Ascent.
  • Manage Ascent’s social media calendar—write engaging captions, post, and build community interactions across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.
  • Track, analyze, and summarize content performance to help guide what comes next.
  • Partner with influencers and ambassadors to create authentic, share-worthy content that reflects Ascent’s values and builds loyalty.
  • Collaborate with our agency partners to develop social, video, and creative assets that inspire our audience.
  • Work with the Brand Manager and Head of Insights on new product concepts—develop slides, visuals, and questionnaires that help shape what’s next for Ascent!
  • Serve as the main contact for our PR agency, coordinating campaigns, product samples, and reviews for approval.
  • Help prepare compelling pitch and retail sales decks that tell Ascent’s story clearly and visually.
