They also play a role in sales, customer service, and potentially even financial tasks like cash handling.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Experience in retail, distribution, or a related industry
  • Proven track record of managing teams and meeting business goals
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring smooth workflow from opening to closing, including managing staff, scheduling deliveries, and resources
  • Interacting with customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience
  • Assisting with maintaining accurate inventory, processing orders, and managing shipments
  • Handling documentation, maintaining records, and supporting communication both internally and with suppliers
  • May involve reporting daily reconciliations and bank deposits
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensuring adherence to safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and proper permitting for work performed
  • Assisting with sales promotions, suggestive selling, and showroom displays to drive revenue
  • Building rapport with customers, managing key accounts, and resolving complaints
  • Supporting and motivating team members, potentially including performance management and training
  • Filling in for the Branch Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations
  • Provide expert guidance and training to team members on industry best practices, technical procedures, and safety protocols
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all service activities, including all invoices/transfers are shipped
