The Assistant Branch Manager assists the Branch Manager with the daily management of branch operations and associates to ensure sales, growth, and profit objectives. This role involves leading the team to provide superior service to members, ensuring consistent adherence to operational procedures and regulations, and maintaining the smooth daily operations of the branch, including facilities, security controls, audits, and balancing. The Assistant Branch Manager also supports the Branch Manager in human resources functions such as hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, and policy interpretation. Key responsibilities include coaching, mentoring, and motivating branch associates to meet and exceed sales and production goals, providing ongoing training, and identifying cross-sell opportunities. The position ensures an optimal member experience, maintains work quality standards, assists with complaint resolution, and upholds security controls and confidentiality. Furthermore, the Assistant Branch Manager assists with quality control assessments, resolves issues/errors, and supports the Member Care Center during high call volumes. In partnership with the Branch Manager, this role contributes to branch and credit union growth through business development and community involvement, representing the branch in its relationships with members, community organizations, and vendors. In the absence of the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager assumes full responsibilities, including supervision of employees, overseeing member complaints, and ensuring overall branch safety and well-being.
