The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for maintaining high productivity among branch personnel through supervision, training, coaching, disciplining, and evaluation. This role directs daily branch operations, ensuring customer needs are met in accordance with regulatory requirements, and manages staffing schedules and payroll. The Assistant Branch Manager ensures compliance with bank policies and procedures, conducts operational meetings, and resolves customer complaints. Key responsibilities also include maximizing sales performance, fostering a positive team atmosphere, creating individual development plans, and reviewing financial activities such as check settlements and daily printouts to prevent loss and monitor suspicious activity. The position requires ensuring the proper functioning of ATMs and security cameras, completing various compliance reports (e.g., Currency Transaction reports, Quarterly Compliance report), and administering signature guarantees. The Assistant Branch Manager provides management coverage in the absence of the Branch Manager and must be willing and able to travel to various branch locations on short notice, requiring independent transportation.
