As Assistant Body Shop Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Body Shop Manager to ensure the effective and efficient operation of our body shop. Ability to write, submit and follow estimates to insurance companies. Coordinate and manage the scheduling of repair work to meet customer deadlines while optimizing shop capacity and resources. Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to enhance skill development and performance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels of parts and materials, working with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness. Handle customer inquiries and concerns, providing exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved. Support the Body Shop Manager in managing administrative tasks, including recordkeeping, reporting, and performance evaluations. Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer service. IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES THESE ATTRIBUTES: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in automotive repair or management is a plus. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a body shop or automotive repair setting. Previous experience in an automotive body shop setting, with a strong understanding of collision repair processes. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in using industry-related software and technology. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
