About The Position

San Marcos Academy, a private Christian school located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Baseball Coach for our TAPPS high school baseball program. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment and the capabilities to mentor, disciple, and develop young student-athletes on and off the field. This is a stipend position. Position Details Coaching responsibilities include daily practices from 4:00 to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, with some weekends. Help lead all aspects of the Upper School Varsity baseball program Must be willing to drive (transport players) to and from away games (if necessary) Model and mentor Student athletes in Christian character and sportsmanship

Requirements

A committed Christian who is passionate about shaping athletes' lives
Experience in coaching baseball at the Upper School level or beyond (9-12 grade)
Follow the leadership and duties required by the Head Coach
A positive role model who teaches teamwork, leadership, and personal growth
An effective communicator to all players and families
Knowledge of SMA’s mission, vision, and core values

Responsibilities
