About The Position

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Athletics, invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations. The successful candidate will oversee all financial management in the Department of Athletics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Must maintain a general understanding of and assure adherence to NCAA, Southland Conference, Institutional rules and Louisiana Board of Supervisors regulations as it pertains to your duties.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to complete the Southeastern Driver's Safety Program.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in business, sports management, sports administration, accounting, or a related field or a professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant, or proven experience in the field of finance or business management.
  • 3+ years of NCAA experience managing budgets and financial matters.
  • Experience with budget management and finance.
  • Experience with employee supervision, evaluation, and training.
  • Experience with State of Louisiana travel
  • Experience in Workday and Blackbaud systems
  • Experience in determining and helping employees grow professionally and manage work assignments
  • Strong Attention to Detail
  • Highly organized and multi-task oriented
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work occasional nights and/or weekends as necessary
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends as necessary.
