About The Position

The Department of Medicine, Division of Liver Disease and Transplant Hepatology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School ( NJMS ) seeks qualified candidate(s) at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for full-time academic position(s) in liver disease and transplant hepatology. Successful candidate(s) will be board eligible/certified in Gastroenterology and board eligible/certified in Transplant Hepatology. These position(s) will support general and advanced inpatient and outpatient liver disease and transplant hepatology consultation services at University Hospital. In addition, candidate(s) will also perform gastroenterology procedures consistent with their training. Candidate(s) will serve as core faculty for the training of gastroenterology and transplant hepatology fellows and will also support the general medicine residency training program and the educational needs of New Jersey Medical School. Candidate(s) will actively support the research mission of the division and be expected to lead investigator initiated and grant supported clinical research studies. The ideal candidate(s) will be fully engaged in further enhancement and expansion of our liver transplant program. Responsibilities will include patient care, research, and teaching (medical students/resident physicians and subspecialty fellows) in concert with the policies of Rutgers NJMS , University Hospital, and the Division of Liver Disease and Transplant Hepatology.
