Position Summary: The College of Nursing (CON) is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor – Practice Teaching Track. We are seeking candidates to join our community of scholars who are passionate about nursing and want to thrive in a creative and caring work environment. FAU’s Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing is known internationally for its dedication to Caring: expanding the science, practicing the art, studying the meaning, and living it day to day. We offer four-degree programs (BSN, MSN, DNP, and PhD) with curricula that are unique and caring-based, with opportunities for interprofessional education with medical and social work students.

Requirements

  • Earned doctorate (DNP, PhD, EdD, or equivalent) in Nursing or a closely related discipline
  • Current, unencumbered RN licensure in Florida or eligibility to obtain licensure upon hire
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level (BSN, MSN, or DNP), including classroom, laboratory, simulation, or clinical instruction
  • Substantial clinical or advanced nursing practice experience relevant to assigned teaching responsibilities
  • Experience with curriculum development, course coordination, or program implementation in higher education
  • Engagement in evidence-based practice, quality improvement, or practice scholarship, consistent with the expectations of a Practice Teaching Track appointment
  • Commitment to the philosophy of Caring Science, humanistic nursing, or related frameworks in teaching and practice
  • Experience mentoring and advising students, including clinical supervision and evaluation
  • Experience with interprofessional education or collaborative clinical practice
