About The Position

Department of Ophthalmology seeks a full time (1.0 FTE) Assistant or Associate Professor to provide pediatric glaucoma specialty care in our growing academic ophthalmology practice at The Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO) and University of Colorado Denver (UCD) affiliate sites of practice.

Requirements

• Completion of an approved residency program in ophthalmology.
• Must be Board Certified or eligible and have a Colorado medical license or be eligible.
• Must be fellowship trained in pediatric ophthalmology.
• Assistant Professor: At least 1 year experience.
• Associate Professor: At least 3 years’ experience.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in pediatric cataracts and/or glaucoma is also desirable
• Knowledge and proficiency in medical and surgical management of pediatric ophthalmic disorders.
• Demonstrated interest in basic or clinical applied research.

Responsibilities

• This position will be responsible for direct outpatient medical and surgical management of pediatric glaucoma at the The Children’s Hospital Colorado, and affiliate sites of practice.
• Role will include resident teaching, and basic or clinical applied research.
• Coordination of care of complex pediatric patients with multiple services at CHCO.
• Supervision of medical and surgical care provided to these patients by pediatric ophthalmology and glaucoma fellows.
