About The Position

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Western New England University has an opening for a tenure track faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level beginning as early as Fall 2025. Candidates for this position must have a Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with expertise in Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Turbomachinery, Flight Mechanics, Flight Vehicle Design, Aerospace Controls, or other related Aerospace fields. Industry experience in the practical application of this expertise is a plus. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses at all levels, support graduate (including PhD) and undergraduate projects, and pursue scholarly and funded research activities. Western New England University offers a vibrant undergraduate mechanical engineering program that emphasizes industrially relevant research and design. Additionally, the ME department hosts an active Master of Science program and a Ph.D. program. Requirements
