About The Position

The Assistant Professor of Christian Counseling & Caregiving for Undergraduate Theology is responsible for teaching a full-time course load, serving as an academic advisor, sitting on various committees, participating in faculty meetings, and assisting in department matters related to curriculum and accreditation.

Requirements

• Candidate must have a doctorate in counseling or a related field and hold state licensure as a professional counselor, marriage & family therapist, or alcohol & drug counselor.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching at the college level and functioning as a mental health clinician are desired.

Responsibilities

• Teach a full-time load of 12 credit hours per semester
• Provide academic advising to students
• Serve as asked on departmental, college, and university committees
• Assist with accreditation self-study requirements
• Actively participate in relevant professional organizations and activities
