Assistant/Associate Professor of Professional Counseling
About The Position
Serve as Graduate Counseling faculty, teaching in the Professional Counseling program. Responsibilities include providing instruction in both hybrid and face-to-face courses, leading scholarly research projects with students, teach and supervise practicum students in off-site, and in our community Counseling Center on campus. Other responsibilities include serving on admission interview teams, participating in committees, as assigned, and other activities within the School of Health Professions and University-wide tasks and activities. Applicants with diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Teach and organize clinical and non-clinical courses.
- Advise students for degree planning.
- Participate in the selection of students for all masters level and some doctoral admission.
- Attend and apply to present at regional, state and national conferences, applicable to research and skills.
- Be willing to become licensed in the State of Texas as an LPC and supervisor within two years.
