About The Position

The Jacobs School of Music seeks candidates for a tenure-track or tenured position in composition to join the faculty of a vibrantly active and performance-focused department. Expected start date: 08/01/2026.

Responsibilities

• teaching lessons for composition students at all levels and possibly teaching courses including Orchestration, Composition Forum or other topics in rotation
• participating in all Composition Department activities, including recruitment, concert and recital attendance, and sharing in the coordination of departmentally organized projects
• serving on doctoral advising committees for DM students
• serving on Jacobs School of Music committees
• maintaining an active career as a composer
