About The Position

The College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University is seeking to hire an Assistant/ Associate/ Clinical Professor in International Aquatics and One Health. The position will also serve in the Global Center for Aquatic Health and Food Security. This position will be responsible for outreach, service, and research in support of the MSU Global Center for Aquatic Health and Food Security programs. International travel is required to support and expand global aquaculture development collaborations. This position will support the FAO Reference Center on Antimicrobial Resistance and Aquaculture Biosecurity at MSU and contribute to the advancement of One Health. This involves collaborative research and relationship building with faculty within Mississippi State University as well as external partners including state and federal agencies. This position will contribute to teaching and diagnostic support on an invited basis.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
• Eligible for licensure in the state of Mississippi
• Demonstrated expertise in aquatic health
• Willing and able to travel nationally and internationally

Nice To Haves

• PhD related to aquatic animal health or One Health
• Experience working internationally
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team of scientists
