Assistant Aquatic Center Manager
About The Position
THE CITY OF LEAWOOD, KANSAS is looking for Assistant Aquatic Center Manager Are you ideal for working as a Assistant Aquatic Center Manager at the Leawood Aquatic? Are you 18 years of age OR older? Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills? Are you reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment? Are you ready to make some extra money for the summer? Do you have lifeguard experience? Do you have customer service experience? Do you have experience in managing employees? What about managing employees at a pool or aquatic facility? As the Assistant Aquatic Center Manager, you will work: Approximately 20 – 40 hours per week between 7 am and 10 pm. Weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays. The Pool Season runs from May to September.
Requirements
- 18 years of age OR older
- Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment
- Lifeguard experience
- Customer service experience
- Experience in managing employees
- Experience managing employees at a pool or aquatic facility
Responsibilities
- Reviewing the daily schedule to confirm all employees' reports for their assigned shifts and address any issues.
- Train and develop staff to meet standards.
- Providing support to cashiers with admissions processing, season pass sales, cash handling, concessions transactions, and end of day procedures.
- Testing water and chemical levels, adding chemicals to the pool and maintaining necessary records.
- Ensuring the aquatic center remains clean and clear of trash and debris, vacuuming the pool, disposing of trash in the dumpster, and ensuring the bathrooms are clean.
