Responsible for routine technical support of AED classroom technology, testing and instruction. Orients Adult Education students to learning with technology. Partners with Information Technology to maintain the technology used in the Learning and Career Center (LCC), Community Resource Center (formerly POC), Education and Workforce Center (EWC), and Main Campus CASAS testing software. Acts as a liaison between the AED Department and Information Technology/Client Services for special projects. Maintains and organizes computer technology and digital resources across multiple program sites. Partners with the Library to implement and monitor the Chromebook loaner program for all locations including account holds. Reports computer issues from LCC and POC to the IT department. Troubleshoots when possible. Evaluates the user functionality of software upgrades for future operating system compatibility. Provides software testing assistance for upgrades to appropriate AED software. Organizes and develops system to assist in communications with students using College approved communications. Organizes digital instructional materials as they are used each semester by instructors at multiple sites. Assists with the pre and post computerized testing of AED students. Processes technology requests for ordering instructional and testing computerized purchases. Participates in ongoing training regarding use of new computer hardware and software. Participates in AED Department meetings. Performs related duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma required with technology credential.
  • One year's experience in an adult education or English as a Second Language program preferred.
  • Must be familiar and comfortable with technology and able to teach others.
  • Requires regular travel between campus sites.
  • Own reliable vehicle required.
  • This position is required to work evening hours as needed.
