Assists with the manager with operations and staff of the Adventure Center and assigns responsibility for activities of the department. Inform boaters about services and events, tying up boats, fueling boats, pumping water from boats, monitoring parking, keeping accurate fuel records and operating a radio. Always comply with resort standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations. Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor. Assist manager with planning and organizing staff assignments. Participates in training, motivating, and evaluating assigned staff; collaborates with manager on reviews and implements changes as needed and directed by manager Communicate with Sales & Front Desk staff for special requests and group business. Follows directives from manager on executing plans, policies, and procedures. Assist manager with operating within budget; understands cost control activities; participates in revenue evaluation and expense control; assists manager with budget planning; helps manage efficient use of budgeted funds, labor, retail goods, facilities, and time. Can issue written oral instructions that align with the manager’s direction Assist with purchasing retail shop items. Assist with maintaining daily, monthly and annual reports and records. Operates a motor vehicle to assist in carrying out departmental business Promotes and encourages participation in the amenities available. Conducts routine staff meetings in absence of the manager Other duties may be assigned as business demands.
