About The Position

This is an administrative and leadership position within the Early Childhood program. The Assistant Administrator will play a key role in implementing the Early Childhood Family Services program mission, striving for excellence in student learning, team collaboration, fostering a positive program climate, and ensuring effective communication. The role involves assisting in the daily operations management of the Early Childhood Family Services program, including supervision, professional development, and evaluation of licensed and support staff. The Assistant Administrator will also co-lead various program committees and teams, support the continuous improvement, development, and implementation of ECFE, Family School, and Connections Preschool design, staffing, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities extend to collecting and analyzing data for continuous improvement, co-administering the Dakota Valley Learning Center, and co-leading the Building Emergency Response Team. Collaboration with administrators and leadership in Early Childhood Special Education is crucial. Additionally, the position assists with creating and managing staff and program schedules and calendars, program marketing, and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment. Other responsibilities will be defined by the program manager.

Requirements

  • MN license in Parent and Family Education and/or Early Childhood Education
  • MN Administrative license
  • Teaching experience in Parent Education, Early Childhood Family Education, Family Literacy and/or Early Childhood Education
  • Experience as an instructional leader or coach
  • Ability to build relationships with staff, students, parents and other stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain good communication and relationships with staff, students and parents
  • Strong problem-solving skills including collaboration among teams
  • Cultural competence with a commitment to equity
  • Belief in, and a commitment to, the development of the whole child and family system
  • Strong technology utilization and data management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lead with a growth mindset

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of the Early Childhood Family Services program mission and help achieve excellence in the areas of student learning, team collaboration, positive program climate and effective communication
  • Assist in the management of the Early Childhood Family Services program's daily operations
  • Assist in supervision, professional development and evaluation of licensed and support staff
