About The Position

We’re looking for an Assistant Actuary or Financial Analyst V to join the Integrated Finance Solutions team. This role will act as an Actuarial Model Consultant you will own and manage centralized MG-ALFA/Integrate models and Integrate processes to serve Business Unit modeling needs across a variety of actuarial functions. Collaboration and communication with Actuaries, Accountants, and IT professionals across the Enterprise is essential. In this role, you'll be the key contact to synthesize business needs into actionable steps and develop appropriate model solutions while adhering to industry best practice development standards. Meet modeling needs through deep model expertise, including but not limited to: End-to-end model process knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities, ALFA/Integrate development skills and feature engineering, Accountability for technical components of all respective Business Unit models in ALFA/Integrate Own month-end control process execution and change validation Manage model risk through attention to detail, thorough change validation, and an accountability mindset Apply VA/RILA product knowledge to understand and explain model outputs and change impacts Build positive and productive relationships with business unit model owners to define and deliver key objectives that drive value for the business Influence key stakeholders across the organization to drive efficient actuarial processes Effectively work as part of the broader Enterprise Modeling Team and collaborate with IT, Accounting, and other areas to understand capabilities and value alignment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Actuarial Science or related field and 4+ years of actuarial work experience required
  • Strong analytical and effective communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Variable Annuities and Registered Index-Linked Annuities
  • Knowledge of MG-ALFA or other actuarial modeling platform
  • Knowledge of actuarial processes, including Valuation (STAT & GAAP), Cash Flow Testing, and Forecasting

Nice To Haves

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries preferred. Open to a Financial Analyst with extensive modeling experience.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets, technical skills, or the ability to learn is preferred
  • Able to direct the work of others and assist in their education and development
