The Assistant Account Manager is responsible for managing accounts and customers, as well as overseeing the execution of sales programs.

Requirements

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or related field; and a minimum of 3 years of management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The individual must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to work independently in cross-functional teams to achieve established goals.
  • The individual must possess a valid driver’s license with insurance.
  • This individual must possess excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal in English & Chinese.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is a must.
  • The candidate must be able to apply mathematical concepts to compute rates, discounts, percentages, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • The individual must be able to define problems through data gathering and analysis, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • He or she must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical sales instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • The individual must travel to meet business needs. The position requires at least 70% or more out time in the field visiting customers, wholesalers, restaurants, and supermarkets.
  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to perform daily job functions.
  • Required to stand, sit, kneel, and walk when performing essential job functions.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned territory. Evaluate internal and external sales performance to ensure customer satisfaction and reach sales target. Develop specific sales plans to achieve sales target and increase the market share of Lee Kum Kee in assigned territory.
  • Seek business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating the position in the industry including supermarkets, distributors, wholesalers and restaurants.
  • Create new business relationships and manage existing accounts. Build relationships with restaurants, suppliers, wholesalers, supermarkets, and other referral sources.
  • Grow the Lee Kum Kee market shares in soy and all sauce categories in the assigned territory / channels.
  • Introduce and increase the number of Lee Kum Kee SKUs in restaurants and distributors and provide support to source Lee Kum Kee products.
  • Develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines. Work closely with assigned channels/customers to achieve sales targets. This will include product education, research, competitive analysis, product penetration, development and execution of advertisement and promotional programs, and various plans and reports.
  • Set up and control approved budgets for sales promotion plan.
  • Prepare quality plans, budgets, presentations and reports as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
