About The Position

The Glatfelter Agency (TGA), a division of Glatfelter Insurance Group, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager to join our growing team. This individual will provide support for the Commercial Lines team in the day-to-day servicing of our commercial clients. This position is required to be onsite at our Leader Heights, York, PA office.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework or a college degree preferred.
  • Commercial Lines retail insurance agency experience preferred.
  • Valid PA Property & Casualty license or must attain within three (3) months.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook & Excel).
  • Prior experience with Applied Epic or comparable agency management system preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external customers including but not limited to underwriters, clients, marketing representative, and service team members.
  • Must be capable of working independently under team concept with general supervision.
  • Should possess the ability to plan & prioritize, be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must possess problem solving capabilities.
  • Must possess strong customer service skills.
  • Should have the ability to adapt to changing and improving technologies, and able to function within various on-line company rating sites.
  • Must possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive, resourceful and coachable.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Account Executives to provide quality service to our clients.
  • Utilize carrier websites to quote, rate, bind, and various other functions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within agency management system (Epic).
  • Issue Certificates of Insurance & Prepare Auto ID Cards.
  • Accurately enter prospect and client data in applications.
  • Process mid-year client change requests.
  • Review all carrier issued documents for accuracy.
  • Provide audit support.
  • Compiling materials for client renewal presentations, including preparation of the agency proposal document.
  • Perform administrative functions such as phone reception, scanning and processing mail as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and workflows.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.
