Shape Reliability. Orchestrate Maintenance. Elevate Performance. As our Asset Reliability Planning Specialist, you are the force behind a reliability-centered maintenance strategy. You’ll partner closely with the Maintenance Team Leader to strengthen our CMMS, build disciplined planning practices, and support a high-performing maintenance organization. Your work blends preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance planning with hands-on coordination across the plant. Your Impact Every plan you craft helps increase labor productivity, reduce maintenance spend, and boost equipment uptime. You’ll translate these goals into detailed job plans, accurate work orders, and synchronized schedules—while safeguarding the integrity of maintenance data. A deep command of storeroom operations, inventory management, and parts distribution will be central to your success. Day-in-the-Life Develop reliability-based plans using preventative and predictive maintenance approaches, improving the Master Maintenance Schedule for PPM activities. Use the CMMS/EAM (Materials Management and Maintenance modules) to convert requests into work orders, update equipment histories, allocate/reserve parts, and close completed work. Prepare comprehensive job packages with clear steps, resources, permits (e.g., lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space), and follow-up tasks. Sequence work for optimal efficiency and coordinate with Warehouse, Purchasing, Engineering, and vendors to pre-stage materials and services. Lead weekly scheduling: publish a preliminary plan for the coming week, facilitate cross-functional reviews with Department Managers, the Maintenance Manager, and the Production Planner, and finalize the approved schedule. Visit job sites to audit effectiveness and efficiency; capture lessons learned to continuously refine plans and PM/PdM strategies. Storeroom and MRO Leadership Own day-to-day storeroom operations, enforce policies/procedures, and ensure accurate item master and asset data (vendor details, pricing, hierarchy, PO numbers, locations, and more) in the CMMS/EAM. Serve as the central contact for all MRO materials management, leading the MRO Materials Team and coordinating special equipment deliveries with vendors. Run inventory cost analyses to spot overstock/understock conditions and right-size stock levels to meet maintenance and manufacturing demand. Schedule cycle counts, create count documents, and drive monthly inventory accuracy. Reserve, stage, and deliver materials to align with planned maintenance timing. Planning, Costing, and Reporting Approve and prioritize incoming work requests; validate request details before releasing work orders. Estimate labor hours from historical data and produce complete job cost estimates (labor, materials, outside services). Maintain clear backlog visibility and accuracy so plant priorities and manpower can be optimized; drive a high service level supporting planned/scheduled work. Generate and analyze KPI reports including daily stock movement, due-in, past-due, monthly inventory accuracy, and mean time between failure. Initiate requisitions as needed and demonstrate working knowledge of purchasing procedures. Coordinate support personnel, contractors, and equipment needed for upcoming scheduled work. Provide updates to drawings, parts lists, and job steps when changes are required. Exchange planning best practices with Planners at other facilities to standardize and improve outcomes. Continuous Improvement Champion plant-level Continuous Improvement initiatives—Lean, Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma—by turning KPI trends and work-order feedback into better PM/PdM routines and more effective job plans.
