About The Position

The Public Works Asset Management Analyst is responsible for providing specialized support to the department’s asset management program. This includes maintenance and updates to the software platform utilized, analysis of program data, implementation of educational and operational needs, data management and integrity, coordination with City IT and vendor resources, evaluation of program efficiencies and effectiveness, and project management principles. It is attached to the Asset Management Team in Public Works and reports to the Asset Program Manager. The role primarily works in an office and is integral to the success of providing asset management to the Public Works Department.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, plus two (2) years of utility infrastructure asset management experience in a public or private agency
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Suite of products
  • Proficiency in using utility asset management software; Infor Public Sector (IPS) preferred
  • Proficiency related to data management, manipulation and reporting
  • Knowledge of MS SQL Knowledge related to GIS infrastructure mapping principles
  • Must have proficient knowledge and understanding of: data management practices, infrastructure activities, and applicable regulations
  • Must have proven knowledge and understanding of: terminology and techniques associated with the industry; principles and practices of statistical analysis; computer software used in spreadsheet and database analysis and word processing; research techniques, methods, and procedures; and methods of reporting information including writing queries, report creation, charts, graphs, workflow and tables
  • Must display an attitude of cooperation, collaboration and positive communication and possess the ability to work well with others
  • Two or more years of experience in data analytics, process control, performance monitoring, or any combination of experience in a private or public entity that meets the above criteria
  • Must have a valid State of Idaho driver's license
  • Obtain NASSCO PACP/LACP/MACP Certification within one year of hire
  • Candidates must possess valid work authorization in the United States that does not require employer sponsorship
