Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work or counseling required.
  • Must have strong clinical assessment skills.
  • Current unencumbered clinical social work, counseling license, or per state of practice guidelines.
  • Candidate may be under supervision for licensure.
  • CPR and Handle with Care certified within 30 days.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the intake and assessment process for individuals seeking behavioral health or medical services.
  • Conducting initial evaluations, assessing patient symptoms, functioning, and care needs, and providing clinical data to physicians for level-of-care determinations.
  • Coordinates referrals, admissions, and follow-up activities while ensuring compliance with EMTALA and emergency detention protocols.
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
