We are currently seeking an Assessment Counselor to join our Lansdale team. Summary The Assessment Counselor plays a key role in engaging and supporting clients and the clinical team by completing level-of-care assessments and facilitating a smooth admissions process.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college in a recognized clinical discipline, including a clinical practicum.
  • Licensure in a recognized clinical discipline (preferred) with mental health clinical experience.
  • Strong clinical skills in mental health, substance use, and/or eating disorder treatment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, Licensing, and CARF regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, sound clinical judgment, and professionalism.
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive in crisis situations and maintain a team-oriented approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensure in a recognized clinical discipline (preferred) with mental health clinical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce and explain the Level of Care Assessment (LOCA) process to clients.
  • Collect demographic and historical information relevant to the LOCA.
  • Explain and facilitate signatures for Releases of Information (ROI) and other admission paperwork.
  • Communicate with a Licensed Counselor when clients are ready for the clinical portion of the LOCA.
  • Gather information for and complete precertifications for managed care clients when applicable.
  • Identify appropriate placement for clients based on assessment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with therapists, admissions, and marketing teams to ensure smooth coordination and up-to-date scheduling.
  • Participate in case consultations and interdisciplinary team discussions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
