About The Position

Assessment Coordinator- Intake (RN or MA/MSW in Behavioral/Social Sciences Required) Responsible for Suicide Risk Screening and Assessments and receiving Helpline referral calls. Obtains initial authorization from the insurance companies. Completes the admission process. Communicates with the Business Office regarding financial issues. Collects Intake data to be given to the Physician for disposition. Requirements

Master's Degree in field of Behavioral/Social Sciences or active RN liscenced in Alabama
Effective leadership skills
Ability to provide orientation and continuing education with co-workers
The ability to establish rapport quickly via telephone or in person
Must be computer literate and have excellent clerical skills

Nice To Haves

Three (3) years experience in Intake, psychiatric setting (outpatient or inpatient) and crisis intervention, preferred
Experience in insurance benefits verification and admission, pre-certification, preferred
Familiar with medical and psychiatric terminology/psychotropic medications, preferred
Handle with Care and CPR certified, preferred
