About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Assembly Wiring Technician- 3rd Shift at our Omaha, NE facility! Shift Hours: 8pm - 6:30am Monday - Thursday (Sunday overnight - Wednesday overnight) The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour, plus a $1/ hour increase for 3rd shift. The Assembly Wiring Technician is responsible for point-to-point wiring of various electrical components within our electrical products. You will reference wiring diagrams (blueprints) and utilize hand tools to prepare wire, crimp, and connect wire to terminals. You’ll be challenged to be creative to provide clean, quality lines that our customers expect.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • Able to stand, climb, and utilize ladders for up to 8 hours a day.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable with hand tools including Measuring Tape, Crimpers, Snips, Wire Strippers, Pin Welder, would be preferred

Responsibilities

  • Measure and prepare wire bundles for installation
  • Reference wiring diagrams to establish proper connections
  • Use hand tools to tighten and prepare wire and complete final installation
  • Present clean crisp lines on all wiring in alignment with established guidelines
  • Be willing to learn and assist other departments as necessary
  • Perform other tasks as requested and be flexible to move to other areas
