Constructs custom assemblies and fabricates value-added assembly items as needed by customers and for stock. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Fabricate and construct custom stock assemblies by performing the following: plasma cutting, welding, soldering, grinding, painting, electrical wiring, fabricating hose and tubing to various sizes, using general hand and power tools, as well as performing various diagnostic and trouble-shooting practices. Interact and take direction from the Assembly Division Coordinator and management team for scheduling and prioritizing assembly projects and methods to use in completing tasks. Use calculators and charts to determine appropriate components to be used in some assemblies. Document new and changed custom assemblies through the use of digital cameras, computers, scanners, faxes, and electronic drawings in conjunction with applications engineering. Testing completed units to the prescribed standards as required and specified by customers.
