We are currently seeking an experienced Assembly Technician, who has the same desire to prove that industry can do it! This role serves to build assemblies and install components for a wide variety of custom-engineered equipment.   At Fives, we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose. This role:

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent (preferred)
  • 2-5 years relevant experience
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office& SolidWorks preferred)
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Patience and attention to detail
  • Machine shop and metrology experience

Responsibilities

  • Interprets and builds to complicated schematics, blueprints and other diagrams
  • Accurately and safely builds assemblies with guidance from Engineers, Shop Manager and Assembly Supervisors/Leads
  • Detects part or assembly issues and corrects per engineer's disposition
  • Loads and unloads trucks
  • Inspects and maintains tools
  • Cleans and organizes work areas
  • Drives trucks to pick up/deliver parts and assemblies
  • Performs building maintenance under Shop Manager's supervision
  • Trains less experienced technicians
