About The Position

Ascentec is hiring! We are looking for full-time Assembly Technicians for our Dallas, Oregon location. We are seeking employees who have a demonstrated willingness to work hard and are experienced with working with precision machined parts. This is a position that presents a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude/skills that is looking to get their foot in the door at a company with many growth opportunities. Shifts available: Day Shift: Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Swing Shift: Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Weekend Day Shift: Friday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. All shifts are full-time and the swing and weekend day shift offer an industry-leading hourly shift differential. This position is on-site (not remote/not hybrid) at our Dallas, Oregon facility and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Experience working with precision machined parts, assembly, cleaning, deburr, sanding, lapping, etc.
  • Understanding of hardware installation, a plus
  • Automotive experience a plus
  • Experience in electromechanical assembly
  • Clean room assembly experience
  • Should be proficient at using both power and hand tools: Saws, Drills, Dremel, Torque Drivers, etc.
  • Experience installing studs, standoffs & helicoils is a plus
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time
  • Ability to read and understand customer specifications, blueprints & drawings
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior machine shop experience
  • Basic computer experience
  • Valid driver’s license

  • ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
