As the Assembly Support Lead, you are the right hand to our Value Stream Supervisors and a leader-in-training. This position is designed as a stepping stone; we are looking for a designated successor who is eager to grow into a future management role. You will balance the tactical needs of the floor—ensuring materials are flowing and audits are done—with the human side of leadership, such as fostering trust and engagement. Requirements

Legal: Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum (due to ITAR requirements).
Experience: Prior experience in assembly or manufacturing operations. Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor others is highly preferred.
Logistics & Data: Ability to handle material transactions and a willingness to learn how to analyze production metrics. Basic computer proficiency is required.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to give clear direction and build relationships with the team.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit and stand constantly throughout the shift. Must possess the manual dexterity to handle/use fingers constantly for assembly or computer tasks.

Responsibilities

Leadership Continuity: Act as the backup for the Value Stream Supervisor. You will step in to lead Tier Huddles and manage the team’s daily activities during supervisor absences.
Material Logistics: Ensure the line never stops due to missing parts. You will support the issuing of materials, manage material movements, and review/approve return-to-stock items.
Inventory Integrity: Support the auditing of production floor materials to ensure inventory accuracy and cost control.
Performance Analysis: Assist the Supervisor in analyzing performance metrics. You will help identify "gaps" in production goals and work with the team to close them.
Team Engagement: Build trust and camaraderie on the floor. You will be a sounding board for the team, remaining open to new ideas and fostering a collaborative culture.
Safety Champion: actively support a safe work environment, identifying potential hazards and ensuring the team follows safety protocols.
