About The Position

We are currently seeking a supervisor to join our team to oversee our assembly areas. In our Redmond, WA, site (Seattle area), we fabricate, assemble, and test chemical and electric thrusters, as well as small scale propulsion systems. Our products enable a wide variety of missions from the exploration of our solar system to global communication and the surveillance of severe weather and wild fires

Requirements

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control the activities of the assigned areas
  • Experience in leading teams building electromechanical hardware
  • Knowledge of fluid flow components (i.e. valves, regulators, PRV’s) and thermal control components (i.e. heaters, thermocouples, RTD’s) is a plus
  • Experience with gas flow systems (gaseous nitrogen and helium)
  • Familiarity with 5S and lean procedures.
  • Ability and willingness to work other shifts and overtime as necessary.
  • Oracle and Delmia experience.
  • Knowledge of Laminar Flow environments and FOE/FOD controls a plus.
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly and test of electromechanical components.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tactical direction to the assembly areas to support the needs of the business
  • Day-to-day direction for work assignments of staff.
  • Ensure staffing has adequate skillset for current and future business needs
  • Ensure all special process certifications and required training is up to date at all times
  • Provide administrative support for direct reports to ensure they have the tools necessary to complete their jobs
  • Partner with support organizations to maintain flow of hardware through assembly
  • Set tone and culture for the area to align with the overall goals of operations
  • Provide input for program planning for current or future business.
  • Provide input and closely monitoring of established area budget.
  • Support implementation of improvements in the area that are consistent with business needs, company initiatives, and capital investments for the area.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the work team and those contacted in the course of work
  • Other duties as assigned.
