About The Position

The Assembly Equipment Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of electrode-related machinery within a manufacturing environment. This position focuses on the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrode equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. The technician will collaborate closely with production teams to identify potential issues before they impact operations and implement effective solutions. By maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment status, the role supports continuous improvement initiatives and compliance with safety standards. Ultimately, this position contributes directly to the reliability and quality of manufacturing processes through expert equipment care and maintenance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in maintenance or repair of industrial manufacturing equipment, preferably electrode or related machinery.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment within the electrode or metal fabrication industry.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to work flexible hours or shifts as needed to support production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrode equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues related to electrode machinery promptly to reduce production interruptions.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities that align with manufacturing timelines and priorities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance work, equipment conditions, and parts inventory to support operational transparency and compliance.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment reliability based on observed performance and industry best practices.
