About The Position

You will report directly to our Production Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on an Onsite work schedule. In this role, the Assembly Mechanic Level 2 is responsible for performing intermediate level disassembly, inspection, repair, and assembly of aircraft engines, modules, and related components within the Sky Harbor Repair & Overhaul (R&O) facility. This role ensures all work is completed in accordance with established technical data, regulatory requirements, and company quality and safety standards. The position requires demonstrated mechanical proficiency, the ability to follow detailed work instructions, and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of workmanship and compliance. Work is performed in a regulated aircraft engine overhaul facility and may require standing for extended periods, lifting components, and working with specialized tools and personal protective equipment.

Requirements

  • Technical or vocational training in aviation maintenance preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft engine maintenance, assembly, or overhaul, or equivalent military/technical background.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and work instructions.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of gas turbine engine fundamentals.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • US Person Requirements: Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble aircraft engine modules and subassemblies in accordance with OEM manuals, service bulletins, and engineering instructions.
  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections to identify defects, wear, or nonconformances, and document findings accurately.
  • Execute approved repair processes, including part replacement, precision fitting, torquing, and component preparation.
  • Utilize calibrated tools, precision measuring instruments, and specialized equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Complete all required documentation, including work orders, inspection records, and traceability logs, in compliance with FAA, EASA, and internal quality requirements.
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and facility policies, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations personnel to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to Assembly Mechanic Level 1 personnel as needed.
