About The Position

Impact Workforce Solutions is hiring for an Assembly Line / Mold Maker in Hodges, SC . Impact is proud to offer an industry leading benefits and wellness package, with eligibility for some programs beginning Day 1! Our positions are full time, year-around employment with paid training. As an Assembly Line / Mold Maker you will perform a variety of manual and/or machine functions related to Core making such as dipping, inspecting, and assembling (3 or less) cores . You will also operate and/or lock out equipment to clean molding floor and reclaim or dispose of sand in basement levels.

Requirements

• Two years of prior work experience
• Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds
• Ability to stand throughout a 10-hour shift
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and manufacturing equipment

Nice To Haves

• 6 months of foundry experience in molding or backend (finishing) operations
• Previous machine shop, foundry, or manufacturing experience
• Computer skills
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving and decision-making
• Math skills

Responsibilities

• Core box mounting
• Mixing and testing core sand
• Bolt threading
• Molding functions such as preparing pouring basins
• Mold spraying, drying and/or venting
• Operating punch-out and related equipment
• Performs melting functions such as sample taking, slag skimming
• Finishing functions such as riser breaking (floor)
• Hand chipping, finning, and wire pulling
• Operates shakeouts, stand and portable grinders
• Ramblast and de-finning machines
