About The Position

Leidos is seeking an Assembly, Integration and Test Technician to join their Defense Systems / Manufacturing team at the Platform Integration Facility in Huntsville, AL. This role supports a rapidly growing program, working alongside a group of test engineers (electrical/mechanical) and test technicians. The primary focus will be on performing acceptance and qualification testing of various electronic and mechanical components. Leidos delivers innovative solutions and a diverse portfolio of systems, solutions, and services across multiple domains for customers worldwide, focusing on solving critical security challenges.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in assembly, integration, and/or acceptance testing
  • Demonstrate relevant skills in one or more focus areas
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Desire to work in a highly focused technical team
  • Ability to work from production drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Basic skills using hand tools
  • Electrical troubleshooting (DMM)
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently, or as part of a team, in a dedicated workforce
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • An associate degree or higher in a relevant electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing field
  • Experience in acceptance testing including electrical devices, mechanical functions, software integration, and RF measurements
  • Familiarity with working with electrical schematics and cable/wiring diagrams
  • Advanced experience reading mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and other manufacturing documentation
  • Organizational skills to document test procedures, test reports and support configuration management of the test equipment
  • Explosive/Ordnance training
  • Torque and/or Safety Wire experience
  • Experience in the functional testing of avionics components
  • Experience with material handling equipment: forklifts and/or overhead cranes

  • Setting up test equipment
  • Performing functional testing of system hardware
  • Confirming software functionality
  • Setting up dynamic/climatic test environments
  • Performing subsystem Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T)
  • Completing all tasks assigned by the supervisor
  • Aiding in writing reports and updating records
