Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Assembly Advisement Workplace Coach (Level 4) to support the Integrated AeroStructure (IAS) Team in Auburn, WA. This position is for 2nd shift. In this role, you will partner with our fabrication teams to ensure individuals are properly trained and follow procedures according to Boeing standards. Successful candidates will possess the ability to comprehend and interpret Boeing drawings and specifications related to assembly. They should be capable of coaching and mentoring employees in the use of hand tools and machine tools. Candidates should view themselves as subject matter experts in tasks associated with assembly. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Auburn, WA.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Assembly, and Fabrication
  • 5+ years of experience with hands on machining and mechanical assembly/operations
  • 5+ years of experience with sheet metal assemblies, drilling, countersinking, riveting, and fastener installation
  • 3+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace
  • 3+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in Aerospace, Assembly, and Fabrication
  • 5+ years' experience with the Boeing Production System

Responsibilities

  • Leads complex group work sessions selecting and using advanced Lean principles, processes and tools to implement the Boeing Production System for internal or external customers
  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria
  • Analyzes and interprets data
  • Provides feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk
  • Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to achieve business objectives
  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans
  • Works under minimal direction
