Job Description The 2nd Shift Assembler is an important member of the team that builds our products. This position produces high quality assemblies in accordance with specific engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions. Responsible for safety, quality and delivery of products for our Aerospace and Defense markets. This role will report to the Production & Lean Manufacturing Supervisor of our FCDCA cell and will be based in our Simsbury, CT location.
Requirements
- Excels in a dynamic, changeable work environment; Energetic and positive; Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
- High School diploma
- Ability to read and understand written instructions in English
- Contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives
- Able to work with energetic material, such as powder weighing and powder loading
Responsibilities
- Perform manual assembly as defined in Manufacturing Instructions using hand tools, simple machinery, etc.
- Loading and unloading components into automatic machines and powders into cups to press
- Follow all written instructions, work instructions, travelers and procedures when producing hardware
- Understand and adhere to all environmental health and safety guidelines including all safety policies and posted signs
- Clean, measure, cut, sample, spool, coil and pack product
- Maintain quality and accuracy requirements
