About The Position

E-ONE manufactures custom and commercial fire trucks including pumpers and tankers, aerial ladders and platforms, rescues of all sizes, quick attack units, industrial trucks, and ARFF (aircraft rescue firefighting vehicles). Monday - Thursday from 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, plus Optional Overtime on Friday and Saturday or Monday - Thursday from 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, plus Optional Overtime on Friday and Saturday SCOPE: Responsible for applying assembly skills necessary to perform basic functions for custom fire and rescue vehicles; Utilizing power and hand tools to complete each task with optimum efficiency. Electrical: Basic Wiring and installation of lighting and other electrical components. Mechanical: General assembly and installation of mechanical components, accessories, and hardware on vehicles.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to ensure manufacturing, quality, and safety requirements are met.
  • Work from schedules, manuals, wiring diagrams, shop orders, prints, pick lists, BOM’s, photos, and instructions; will become familiar with schematics.
  • Identify and understand basic plumbing, electrical and mechanical components that are commonly used in assembly.
  • Review shop orders and similar materials to determine requirements. Retrieve parts, materials, and supplies from staging location.
  • Must be able to operate hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to participate in LEAN and continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform or assist with any operations, as required or directed to maintain work flow or respond to production requirements.
