About The Position

Summary of Duties: Set-up and operate the various machinery and processes in the assembly area. Knowledge and ability are required in understanding shop order routers to assure proper material and requirements of routing. Must complete documentation pertaining to production activity and maintain quality standards. Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by department management.

Requirements

Legible handwriting.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Ability to read and use a tape measure for identification of raw material bar stock.
Well-developed organizational and communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate initiative as a team player to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Must be able to work well with little or no supervision and exercise reasonable judgement independently.
Minimum score required in math testing.
Ability to lift to 70 pounds at frequent intervals.
Must maintain "meets expectation" attendance, safety, and job performance evaluations.
Working understanding standard product flow.
Must be flexible to work any shift or overtime as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities

Pull and stage materials at assembly operations for continued processing.
Follows all safety rules.
Responsible for keeping the work area clean and equipment clean, orderly, and free from clutter.
Responsible for assisting in other housekeeping issues within the department.
Remove and identify balance material from assembly machinery and stage in area for return to inventory or shipping.
Performs the process of heat shrinking / sleeving of parts.
Performs the process of blue waxing of parts.
Performs the process of masking parts for the next process.
Performs the process of painting parts.
Perform other operations as needed, such as grinding, to ensure conformance.
Sets-up and operates PEM presses for installing PEM nuts and studs.
Performs all department procedures in place of proper accuracy and quality.
Performs miscellaneous duties as directed by department management.
