Requirements

  • Ability to operate small hand tools (e.g. pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.), power tools, and measuring equipment
  • Read, learn and follow training, adhere precisely to written procedures
  • Problem solving skills
  • Must be able to follow detailed instruction, inspection procedures and product appearance
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings and/or specifications
  • Prolonged standing and walking
  • Some lifting (not to exceed 50 lbs.) is required
  • Some daily computer work is required
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
  • Employee may be regularly required to talk or listen, stand, walk, sit, stoop, crawl, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment
  • Must be able to read prints and process sheets
  • Perform first piece inspection as well as in process quality checks accompanied by the required paperwork
  • Properly identify parts and operate all equipment used in the assembly process and be able to identify and properly tag rejected parts
  • Understand and follow all ISO procedures
  • Assist with the training of new employees, and follow all company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate ability to work successfully in a team-based environment that heavily emphasizes quality, performance, cross-training, and accountability
  • Ability to consistently satisfy or exceed productivity requirement
  • Perform inspection process and complete all related production paperwork
  • Ability to set up equipment or machines and perform simple adjustments and minor set up of some dies
