About The Position

Hilco Vision is a global eye care company that combines brands including Bruder® Healthcare dry eye products, M&S Technologies® visual acuity systems, OnGuard® prescription safety frames, Croakies® Eyewear Retainers and B&S optical tools and lab supplies with a distribution and manufacturing platform serving eye care professionals in key global markets including, the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Australia, China Belgium, and the Netherlands. Hilco Vision’s portfolio includes Prescription Safety, Lenscare, Eyewear Accessories, Lab & Dispensing Products, Dry Eye Solutions, Vision Testing Equipment, Pharmaceuticals, and Diagnostic Exam & Surgical Supplies. M&S Technologies, a division of Hilco Vision, is currently searching for Assemblers to join the team! The Assemblers are responsible for the assembly of VR Headsets, computers, and other technology-related products. They are responsible for the testing and preparing of products for shipment while supporting inventory management, and quality control processes. This role will be on site in Niles, IL, M-F 8am-5pm. Requirements

  • Proven experience in assembly or a related field.
  • Technical knowledge of computers, VR headset assembly, and software installation preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet shipping deadlines.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and inventory management per production orders.
  • Minimum High School Degree or equivalent work experience or certificates.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical knowledge of computers, VR headset assembly, and software installation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, configure, and test computers, VR headsets, and related technology to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
  • Prepare products for shipment by managing packing, labeling, and coordinating domestic and international deliveries on schedule.
  • Perform routine quality control checks and troubleshoot issues during assembly or testing, documenting results accurately.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through physical counts, reconciliation, and proper organization of materials and finished goods.
  • Conduct quality control tests on assembled products, particularly computers, multiple times daily.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during assembly or testing and ensure accurate reporting of all activities.
  • Install software and perform system updates as required, working closely with the IT team for any technical challenges.
  • Complete standardized documents on the assembled items.
