About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring for an Assembler Team Lead (Level C) for the P3 A-Deck and Shakes Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable shift ! The Team Lead will be performing tasks in the following areas; pre-shift planning, crew meetings, team status updates, labor loss, production control, training, process improvement and Lean/BPS (Boeing Production System). The candidate must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job. Position Responsibilities: Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools Builds effective resource plans Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader Updates and communicates BPS metrics Identifies KPI improvement actions Assigns daily work Leads team in daily safety check-in Monitors and reports daily progress to plan Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk Documents and communicates shift turnover Establishes overtime requirements and staffing Responsible for monitor and control of 5S Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues Creates standardized work instructions Supports teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training Responsible for BPS process improvements Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks Exhibits Boeing behaviors This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC. This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, and fabrication
  • 3+ years of Formal or Informal Leadership Experience
  • 1+ years of experience with 787 program operations
  • 1+ years of experience in assembling, repairing, and/or testing mechanical and electrical components and systems
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft electrical systems
  • 3+ years of Aircraft systems troubleshooting and fault repair
  • 1+ years of experience aircraft interior repair
