About The Position

Assembler Team Lead Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Assembler Team Lead to join the Wings External Team - Final Assembly in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift. Position Responsibilities: Perform complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems using manual or automated tools Build effective resource plans and assign daily work Identify and communicate risks to First Line Leader Update and communicate BPS metrics and identify KPI improvement actions Lead team in daily safety check-in and monitor/report daily progress to plan Work with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risks Document and communicate shift turnover Establish overtime requirements and staffing Monitor and control 5S workplace organization Use Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinate with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues Create and monitor standardized work instructions Support teammates to improve job performance, including identifying training needs. Drive BPS process improvements Understand and lead the team to excel in daily performance aligned with organizational vision, goals, and objectives Follow team leader standard work; respond immediately to team member issues within 30 seconds or escalate to LSCC within 30 minutes Facilitate daily plan and performance reviews with the team Ensure team members understand key performance indicators and embrace goals Align team efforts with strategic goals including safety, quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and people Coach team members on standardized work from onboarding through daily utilization. Monitor LSCC progress and problem screens Identify roadblocks inhibiting progress and seek leadership support as needed Encourage and lead a culture of continuous improvement and systematic problem solving Assist in defect elimination through systematic problem solving and coordination with upstream processes Maintain Fall Protection Certification Exhibit Boeing behavior

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in fabrication, assembly, or manufacturing processes and procedures
  • 3+ years of formal or informal leadership experience
  • 1+ years 'of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and systems thinking
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to pass and complete fall protection training
  • 1+ years of experience in structure or systems installations
  • 1+ years of experience with Velocity, REDARS, SAT, and BAC specifications

  • Experience navigating DFK, IVT, TMC, COGNOS
  • Experience operating scissor lift, aerial boom lift, single person lift
