About The Position

$15.50 per hour Shift: Second shift: 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m, Monday to Friday. Assemble a variety of curtain styles according to established quality and timeliness standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble curtains according to quality and timeliness standards.
  • May perform some pre-assembly responsibilities.
  • Cut fabric and/or rod or sew fabric or pick up components.
  • Handle fabric by cutting it to length and/or drilling holes, or weigh fabric and enter data into a computer.
  • Pick up curtain from the rack/table/cart according to established prioritization standards.
  • Perform initial curtain assembly to be able to hang it, inspect it, and adjust it.
  • Hang the curtain and perform initial inspection to ensure that the components/tools are in place, and that the motor and clutch are properly adjusted (if applicable).
  • Make any necessary adjustments and inspect again.
  • Carry out the entire assembly process including any decoration and/or tools.
  • Test the curtain with visual, quality, and functionality inspection (to ensure it hangs straight, works correctly, and is not damaged).
  • Interact with quality specialists to ensure standards are met.
  • Prepare the curtain for packaging and shipping, placing it in plastic and/or on a cart for packing.
  • Complete paperwork/documentation related to curtain assembly.
  • Work with Engineering to test new products/designs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow established procedures to keep the work area clean and well-organized.
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment and tools.
  • Interact with maintenance personnel regarding equipment and tool repairs and the development of new ones.
  • Follow established safety policies and procedures.
  • Attend safety meetings.
  • Attend meetings/talks to promote open communication.
