As an Assembler III, you will understand all phases of the assembly process which allows them to be a vital part in the flow of the area to ensure compliance with quality standards. Responsible for safety, housekeeping (5S), quality, line flow and daily KPIs. Assembler III assumes training and mentor roles in an assigned area. Assembler III understands and demonstrates skills and proficiency in Teamwork, Line Flow, policy enforcement, etc. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this position is based in Shreveport, LA.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing or production environment
  • IPC Certification
  • Blueprint reading
  • Standing and/or walking for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime, flexible hours, and/or overtime on short notice.
  • Factory Setting – climate-controlled warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Daily Attendance Log.
  • Review manning for workstations and reallocate as needed to meet production schedule.
  • Ensure team members are following defined assembly procedures.
  • Identify training needs, cross-train, and mentor team members and document on Tier II board.
  • Verbal employee reviews.
  • Lead/participate in Tier meetings daily.
  • Foster an environment of effective communication (keep department up to date on company news).
  • Must maintain less than 18 attendance points to maintain role.
  • Develop daily safety focus and discuss at Tier I meetings.
  • Ensure 5S to ensure cleanliness and part presentation.
  • Monitor PPE Adherence.
  • Monitor safety equipment and tools.
  • Report issues to responsible parties.
  • Non-conforming material is clearly identified and processed within 48 hours.
  • Process audits completed.
  • Document and retrain employees with continuous quality issues.
  • Disseminate quality alerts to responsible parties.
  • Escalate any quality concerns to supervisor and Quality team.
  • Coordinate and confirm daily production schedules with production planner.
  • Hour by hour board maintained and exceptions to hourly achievement noted.
  • Monitor pitch with exceptions in hour-by-hour board and identify issues.
  • Ensure part pick lists submitted by end of shift
