Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Assembler II-2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $18.50 per hour. The hours for this shift are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: PRIMARY FUNCTION: Assembler role will assemble, fit, fasten, and install parts to form subassemblies. Align, fit, assemble, fasten, connect, and install system components of military mechanical/electromechanical equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Setup equipment to meet product standards for identification, shell painting, retainer loading, contact painting, wire cutting, riveting, contact crimping and contact hooding. • Weigh, mix and identify items such as inks, paints, adhesives, molding compounds, and potting materials. • Follow intermediate drawings and procedures. • Perform work with limited to no supervision. • Support cross training and support of other departments. • Manually load and/or machine load retainers into molded plastic inserts per work order instructions. • Bond loaded front inserts to molded plastic rear inserts per work order instructions. • Bond interface seals and grommet seals to plastic insert assemblies per work order instructions. • Rework and/or repair assembled parts and products according to engineering specification changes. • Read and interpret blueprints, illustrations, and specifications to determine layouts, sequences of operations, and follows procedures. • Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments and following blueprint lines and index points. • Assemble and bond EMI rings to connector shell per work order instructions. • Assemble and bond EMI rings to connector shell per work order instructions. • Apply identification stamping to various components and assemblies. • Paint components, as well as apply paint stripe markings to contacts. • Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain safe work environment. Assure proper maintenance of a safe and clean work area. • Stage materials for shipment as required. • Prepare single and shielded wires for termination, crimp contacts to prepared wires, terminate simple cables to connectors, and load and operate heat treat and annealing ovens. • Soldering contacts and application of solvents and epoxies. • Other duties as assigned.
